Successful start for the region

Shooters from Landsberg and Ammersee claim first titles at the Upper Bavarian Championships

At the ongoing Upper Bavarian Championships, shooters from the Landsberg and Ammersee districts have already collected the first titles. Particularly striking is the breadth of success: FSG Dießen scores with the air rifle and in the youth division, the air pistol shooters from Scheuring make their mark in several classes, and FSG Landsberg collects victories in numerous pistol disciplines – even in the historical competitions.

Dießen impresses with air rifle – and with youth under pressure

One of the early titles for the region is secured by Melanie Graf for FSG Dießen. She wins the women's air rifle II with 405.4 points. In the same class, Sieghild Söllner underlines the club's strong performance with third place (404.2 points) – a close field of results, where small deviations in the series decide the placement.

Dießen also makes a statement in the youth division: Zara Heckel, Arthur Söllner, and Antonia Baur win the three-position air rifle competition as a student team with 847 points. This discipline is considered a special test, as shots are fired consecutively from three positions and the athletes must repeatedly stabilize their technique and concentration. Arthur Söllner also rewards himself with third place in the individual student ranking (382 points).

Dießen is also among the leaders in other classes: Stephan Sanktjohanser takes third place in men's air rifle I (413.2 points), Oskar Grobbrügg finishes fifth among juniors II (396.8 points).

Scheuring sets standards with the air pistol – titles and depth in the field

In the air pistol competitions, Scheuring once again shows how much substance there is in the breadth. The team title in men's III is won by the team of Thomas Ranzinger, Oliver Balg, and Klaus Hopfensitz (1113 points). Thomas Ranzinger also makes a statement in the individual ranking of men's IV and wins with 382 points.

Scheuring is also present in men's I: Philipp Ranzinger, Fabian Maisterl, and Marco Balg take third, fourth, and sixth places. Two teams finish second and third there – a sign that not only top results, but also stable series performances are present within the squad.

In the youth division, Justus Heckel delivers a double: he wins the student air pistol multi-discipline with 334 points and also prevails in the LP-standard discipline with 316 points. Thus, Scheuring decisively shapes the region's interim balance in the air pistol classes so far.

FSG Landsberg dominates in pistol disciplines – from mixed to historical competitions

FSG Landsberg collects its titles mainly in the pistol competitions. In the air pistol mixed team, Adrian Offer and Carmen Metrangola win with 559 points.

More first places are added in the small-bore sport pistol: Vanessa Sanktjohanser wins women's I with 545 points, Wolfgang Sanktjohanser also wins men's IV with 545 points, Sigurd Ehringer takes first place in men's V (489 points).

Landsberg is also at the top in the center-fire pistol: Adrian Offer wins mixed I with 546 points, Michael Heckel wins mixed III with 549 points, Olaf Erichsen wins mixed IV with 523 points. In these classes, it becomes clear how crucial not only precision is, but also the ability to remain calm over a series and consistently "manage" shot patterns – especially when the competition can swing over several rounds.

Particularly striking is the winning streak in the historical disciplines, which require not only shooting technique but also experienced handling of the special demands of these competitions. Markus Wörnle wins the percussion revolver men's II with 140 points, Matthias Plöscher wins the percussion pistol men's II with 141 points and also takes the title in the flintlock pistol mixed I (136 points). There are also three team titles: in the percussion revolver with 415 points (Markus Wörnle, Matthias Plöscher, Andreas Wimmer), in the percussion pistol with 417 points (Matthias Plöscher, Markus Wörnle, Andreas Wimmer), and in the flintlock pistol with 392 points (Matthias Plöscher, Markus Wörnle, Andreas Wimmer). The accumulation of victories – both individually and as a team – speaks for consistency and depth in the lineup.

The first decisions of the Upper Bavarian Championships already paint a clear picture: Dießen delivers in air rifle and youth, Scheuring confirms its strength with the air pistol, and Landsberg leads in a variety of pistol disciplines. Although the title competitions are still ongoing, the interim balance for the clubs from the Landsberg and Ammersee districts is already remarkable.
