Kimora | Menu & Reservation
Kimora in Utting am Ammersee is a modern Vietnamese restaurant located at Hofstattstraße 2. The appearance is deliberately contemporary yet grounded enough to focus directly on the essentials: fresh flavors, clear product quality, and a relaxed dining experience. The official website describes Kimora as a place with an urban, casual atmosphere where southern Vietnamese cuisine is served with a youthful perspective on traditional dishes. Particularly important is the craftsmanship of the house, as many components are created in-house with a focus on care, freshness, and traceable origins. The concept is complemented by classic cocktails in a modern Asian interpretation. This blend of culinary art, lightness, and stylish execution makes Kimora a destination that goes far beyond an ordinary Asian restaurant. The municipality of Utting also lists Kimora as a Vietnamese restaurant at the same address. So, anyone looking for a place that interprets Vietnamese cuisine at Ammersee in a modern and accessible way will find a very clear positioning here. ([kimora-restaurant.de](https://kimora-restaurant.de/))
Kimora Menu: Vietnamese Cuisine, Bowls, and Lunch Menu
The menu at Kimora is intentionally broad without appearing arbitrary. Instead of an overloaded selection, the restaurant opts for a structure that categorizes appetizers, cold dishes, homemade dumplings, wok and grill dishes, rice noodle bowls, curries, soups, grilled dishes, and desserts in a comprehensible manner. For example, the lunch menu includes crispy wontons, Japanese sweet potato slices, spring rolls with shrimp and pork, steamed dumplings with vegetable filling, and Bo La Lot, which is beef in pepper leaf with sesame sauce. Additionally, there are cold appetizers like a mango salad with duck, seaweed salad, or summer rolls in various variations. This selection shows that Kimora does not only rely on well-known standard dishes but plays with textures, herbs, acidity, and roasted aromas. The homemade dumplings and fresh appetizers are particularly interesting because they present the cuisine as artisanal and detail-oriented without appearing complicated. For guests, this means: one can start lightly here or build up a multi-course meal sensibly. ([kimora-restaurant.de](https://kimora-restaurant.de/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Kimora-Food-12-25.pdf))
The warm dishes also remain varied on the menu. In the wok and grill section, there are Simmental beef with lemongrass and chili, chicken breast with vegetables and cashews, grilled salmon fillet, tofu with lemongrass and peppers, sautéed shrimp with basil, crispy duck with ginger, and fried udon noodles with chicken. Additionally, there are rice noodle bowls with beef, chicken, tofu, shrimp, or duck, as well as curries with different protein options. Among the soups, the pho with beef broth stands out, along with an udon soup with duck and pak choi. For guests who enjoy trying new combinations, the grill section is also exciting: beef fillet with jumbo shrimp, scallops with jumbo shrimp, salmon, cod, and other finer fish and meat dishes show that the kitchen can work not only quickly but also with sophistication. According to the PDF, the lunch menu is not valid on Sundays and public holidays, which is important for daily planning. ([kimora-restaurant.de](https://kimora-restaurant.de/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Kimora-Food-12-25.pdf))
The variety for different eating habits is particularly attractive. Those who want to eat vegetarian will find tofu dishes, vegetable dumplings, vegetable curries, and bowls with tofu. Fish lovers can enjoy salmon, tuna, cod, monkfish, and other options. For meat lovers, beef, duck, and chicken are presented in various preparations. This range is not coincidental but reflects a restaurant that keeps its menu open for multiple dining occasions: lunch, relaxed dinners, date nights, or gatherings with friends. The dessert selection and the addition of homemade lemonades and tea variants complete the overall picture. Kimora thus presents itself as a restaurant that understands modern Vietnamese cuisine not as a niche but as a versatile enjoyment space. That is precisely why the menu is suitable for regular guests as well as for visitors who want to try something new at Ammersee. Kimora Cocktails and Beverage Menu: Signature Drinks and More
The beverage menu at Kimora is more than just a side show, as it is part of the overall concept. In addition to non-alcoholic beverages, tea, soft drinks, and beer, the restaurant offers a range of aperitifs and signature cocktails that continue the Asian-inspired style. The menu includes Hello Kimora, Ho Chi Minh Sling, Sake Basil Smash, Plum Royal, Juri Island, Lillet Wild Berry, Straight from the Forest, Lychee Martini, Mai Tai, Kimora Mojito, Midori Fizz, Kimora Sour, Blood and Sand, Bananas Pyjamas, Coffee Martini, Passion Dream, and Kimora Highball. The names alone show that standard drinks are not simply served here, but that the cocktail menu fits the character of the house. Fruity, herbal, and slightly exotic accents support the modern dining approach of the restaurant and round off the evening. ([kimora-restaurant.de](https://kimora-restaurant.de/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Kimora_Drinks-12-25.pdf))
Even among the non-alcoholic options, the menu remains carefully structured. Water, soft drinks, spritzers, juices, tea, and a special selection of Kaiko tea give guests several options to accompany their meal finely. Beer enthusiasts will find, among others, Helles, Weissbier, Radler, and non-alcoholic variants. This works well, especially in combination with the warm dishes, because Kimora does not only focus on individual highlights but offers a coherent overall package of food and drinks. Those who want to eat lightly at lunch can choose a suitable drink just as guests who start their evening with cocktails or an aperitif for a longer restaurant visit. This way, Kimora does not come across as a purely evening venue but as a place where one is well accommodated for both a quick lunch and an extended dinner. The beverage menu thus emphasizes the positioning as a modern Vietnamese restaurant with a clear service and enjoyment orientation. ([kimora-restaurant.de](https://kimora-restaurant.de/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Kimora_Drinks-12-25.pdf))
Kimora Reservation, Opening Hours, and Phone
For planning, Kimora is pleasantly transparent. The official website states daily opening hours from Monday to Sunday from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM and from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Additionally, there are clear indications for table reservations: For online reservations of up to four people, the maximum duration of stay is two hours; for five people, two and a half hours. For reservations made at 7:00 PM, the table is available for the entire evening. This regulation is useful for guests who want to time their restaurant visit precisely, for example, before a walk, a family gathering, or an evening appointment. Kimora thus offers a system that fits well with a popular and predictable restaurant operation without appearing inflexible. Contact can be made by phone at 08806 3371078 or 0176 43274670, and also via the email address info@kimora-restaurant.de. ([kimora-restaurant.de](https://kimora-restaurant.de/))
OpenTable also lists Kimora as a reservable restaurant with Vietnamese cuisine, price level up to 30 euros, and areas for terrace and dining room. This confirms that the restaurant is accessible not only through its own website but also through an established reservation environment. For guests, this means more comfort in finding a table. The atmosphere is described there as casual, which fits well with the official self-image of the house. Therefore, anyone planning a visit should prefer online reservation if a specific time window is important and observe the mentioned rules for longer stays. Especially on busy days, this transparency can help avoid waiting times and misunderstandings. Kimora thus does not come across as a spontaneous find but as a restaurant that has clearly structured its processes and communicates them understandably to guests. Kimora Directions and Parking in Utting am Ammersee
The address of Kimora is Hofstattstraße 2, 86919 Utting am Ammersee. This is the most important orientation for directions, as both the official website and the municipal page specify this address. OpenTable lists the same location and geographically assigns the restaurant to the area of Schondorf am Ammersee, which may be interesting for map searches but does not change anything about the clear main address. Therefore, anyone driving to Kimora for the first time should work with the exact street address and not just the town name. The restaurant is thus easily findable in Utting and is relevant for guests from the Ammersee area as well as for visitors specifically looking for a Vietnamese restaurant in the region. ([kimora-restaurant.de](https://kimora-restaurant.de/))
Regarding parking, the facts are deliberately sober. The OpenTable page does not provide any information on parking details; it explicitly states that there are no details. The official website also does not mention any private parking spaces or a parking lot on-site. This implies that guests should plan their arrival with regard to the current parking situation in the vicinity rather than relying on a designated restaurant garage. This restraint in the information is not unusual, but it is important for visitor planning. Therefore, those coming by car should allow a little more time for the last meters. Anyone who wants to prepare their route precisely should use the full address Hofstattstraße 2 in Utting am Ammersee as a search term and check the parking situation on-site before the visit. This way, the journey remains relaxed, and there are no surprises later when looking for a parking space. ([opentable.de](https://www.opentable.de/r/kimora-utting-am-ammersee))
Kimora Terrace, Dining Room, and Atmosphere
The atmosphere of Kimora is described by the restaurant itself as urban and relaxed. This fits well with the combination of modern Vietnamese cuisine and a clearly structured room concept. OpenTable lists both a terrace and a dining room, which is important for guests who want to sit differently depending on the weather and occasion. Eating outside can be particularly appealing on warm days, while the dining room is the better choice for quiet, planned dinners and cozy evenings. Additionally, OpenTable describes Kimora as a casual restaurant with business casual attire. This shows: It is not about stiff fine dining conventions but about a stylish yet uncomplicated restaurant visit. ([kimora-restaurant.de](https://kimora-restaurant.de/))
The mix of space, service concept, and food profile makes the place versatile. Those who want to eat quickly and well at lunch will find a structured menu. Those who stay longer in the evening will receive cocktails, a calm seating atmosphere, and dishes that invite more to try and share than merely to work through a standard menu. The reservation policy with clear time slots also supports this atmosphere because guests know where they stand. Kimora is thus suitable for different occasions: for a meal for two, for family visits, for a relaxed meeting with friends, or for a stylish start to the evening. The restaurant does not come across as an event temple but as a carefully managed place of enjoyment with a clear profile. This combination of lightness, reliability, and culinary independence is an essential part of the experience. ([kimora-restaurant.de](https://kimora-restaurant.de/))
Kimora Homemade, Regional Ingredients, and Special Occasions
A central point in Kimora's profile is the artisanal quality. The restaurant emphasizes that many components are homemade and that even sauces and doughs are produced in-house. At the same time, it refers to regional and ecologically grown products from certified dealers and butchers. This is not just a marketing detail but shapes the entire culinary experience. Especially in Vietnamese cuisine, which relies heavily on freshness, herbs, broths, textures, and precise balance points, such an orientation is palpable. Therefore, those who eat at Kimora do not simply receive a quick Asian meal but a consciously developed culinary style that focuses on independence. This attitude also explains why guests find dishes like beef in pepper leaf, pho, bowls, duck with ginger, salmon fillet, or creative summer rolls that are accessible yet do not seem arbitrary. ([kimora-restaurant.de](https://kimora-restaurant.de/))
The restaurant is also well-suited for special occasions because the culinary offering remains flexible enough. Those who want to eat lightly can start with appetizers and bowls. Those planning an evening as a small taste experience can combine several courses and accompany them with a signature cocktail or a suitable wine or beer. The lunch menu additionally provides structure for short visits during the week, while the dinner menu allows more room for longer meetings. The fact that the lunch menu is not valid on Sundays and public holidays is a practical note for weekly planning. Overall, Kimora conveys the image of a restaurant that thinks modernly but does not seem fleeting. It combines cuisine, drinks, atmosphere, and reservation into a coherent overall package and is thus interesting for both regular visits and special evenings at Ammersee.
Wow, the food blew me away. The perfect and refined balance of different herbs and spices. Simply brilliantly prepared, beautifully garnished. A great chef. You can tell that high-quality ingredients are used for the beef and the vegetables. If the chef offered a cooking class, I would be there in a heartbeat! Nice service and a cozy atmosphere complete the experience. It's been a long time since a restaurant has fully convinced me with its food. I will definitely come back. My tip: try the beef in pepper leaves.

We've been there for the third time now and are so thrilled with the ambiance, food, and service! There's an incredible variety of appetizers and main courses, truly something for everyone. The quality of the food is very good, and we haven't been disappointed with any dish we've ordered! It's clear to us, we will always come back and are already looking forward to better weather and the outdoor area!

An incredible taste experience that you can't miss if you celebrate Asian, especially Vietnamese cuisine! Absolutely recommended. We tried 4 appetizers - each one more delicious than the last. The beef in pepper leaves with sesame sauce is out of this world! The tartare with snow crab meat and the summer rolls with shrimp and truffle are also highly recommended. For the main course, the pho soup was a must - the broth was perfectly flavored, and the beef was incredibly tender and tasty. My wife had a bun bowl, which also impressed us. We were stuffed and couldn't finish everything, but we just couldn't resist trying as much as possible. With 4 Saigon beers, it came to 105 €, totally justified for the mega fresh and authentic dishes! Next time we'll order a bit less, so the price for 2 should be around 80 €. Everything was great in terms of service too. All the staff were super friendly and very attentive - we didn't have to wait long, even though the place was completely full. We had a wonderful evening and are happy that it worked out so spontaneously. This place is now on the top spots of my long list. 😋

We were 6 after a tour on Lake Ammersee at Kimora for dinner. Even though the ambiance with the artificial leaf walls is a bit quirky, we were very glad for the solid roof since it started raining shortly after we arrived. The food was, although not exactly cheap, very delicious.

Food is not everyone's thing. Beware, there are always nuts in it that aren't listed on the menu. Otherwise, it's a really nice place. Lots of customers even during the week. Price-performance ratio is something everyone has to decide for themselves; I found it a bit overpriced.
