The library has a nice selection of books and Tonies, and my children would love to borrow them more often. It's very tidy and well-maintained, which makes choosing items to borrow much easier. However, what's really unfortunate is the child-unfriendly atmosphere that's noticeable every time you walk in. Children are constantly reprimanded; they're told not to lean too much on the bag rack, not to shake the Tonie figures because they'll break, and so on. This makes borrowing anything but enjoyable. After all, these are items you naturally take care of, but you borrow them to use, not to display them in a glass case. I'm disappointed by this overly meticulous way of dealing with customers. I completely support my children, because I, too, would shake the Tonie in its plastic packaging if I picked it up and was excited about it. The packaging should be changed, and children shouldn't be made to feel responsible for potential damage right from the start, at the very moment they're learning to say "thank you" and express their joy. To be honest, I don't want to come anymore; then the children will just stay away, and the sacred books and Tonies will certainly not be missing a single scratch in the future – a beautiful, sad, perfect world.

My children and I are very happy with the wide selection of books, games, Tonies, and even Edurino figures available for loan. A major drawback, however, is the often very child-unfriendly atmosphere created by the older staff members. As soon as you enter the library with children, and they aren't quietly holding your hand, you'll start getting disapproving looks. It's a shame and completely unnecessary! And I'm not talking about rowdy, screaming children. ;) Children just aren't generally welcome, especially by one of the women. Luckily, there's now a younger employee who always gives you a very warm welcome. It would also be great to have more seating to sit and relax in the library, but unfortunately, there isn't enough space.

Having been a loyal member of this library for at least 15 years with my three children, I feel compelled to share my feedback. My three children are avid readers, yet the incredibly kind and knowledgeable librarians always know their preferences and provide us with excellent recommendations. If we desperately want a book that isn't available in their extensive collection, they note our requests (and often fulfill them)... What we appreciate most (besides the modern facilities) is the wonderful, almost familial way the staff interacts with customers. We visit about once a week and are always inspired by (tailored!) book recommendations to continue reading so much. Simply fantastic! In addition to the email service for returning books on time and the library account, there's an online ordering service, allowing us to pick up books, often lovingly wrapped, at the entrance on the same day. This library is exemplary! Thank you to the amazing team that has provided us with countless wonderful hours of reading for the past 15 years and even during the pandemic shone with a fantastic (and hygienic!) pick-up service. Keep up the great work!!!

In the children's area with seating, I was told to read more quietly. That's simply not modern. It's a separate children's area, not a university library. And then the staff got really annoyed when my child put books on the clean floor and I told him to pick them up, but it just took a while. That's normal. Besides, these are borrowed books. They're on the floor in pretty much every child's room at some point. The atmosphere was simply unfriendly to children. We left immediately. The staff member was definitely not in the right place for her job. We won't be back!

The bookshop is a very warm and welcoming place. I always enjoy borrowing new books. The selection is large, and you can always find the latest releases.
