Augustinum Senior Residence Dießen am Ammersee | Photos & Directions

The Augustinum Senior Residence Dießen am Ammersee is much more than a residential building for older people: it combines an extraordinary location on the edge of Dießen with a large park, wide views over Lake Ammersee, and a comprehensive service and cultural offering. Those looking for photos, a first impression, or concrete information about location, apartments, and directions will find a residence that consciously functions as an independent living space. Location, Photos, and First Impressions at Augustinerberg

Even the first impression explains why the search query for photos is so often associated with the Augustinum Dießen am Ammersee. The residence is located on a slight slope at the edge of the town and opens up to a large park area from which one can look over the lake all the way to the Andechs Monastery. The official website describes the location as part of a generous garden landscape, where walking paths begin and continue in the historic Schacky Park under old trees. Those viewing the location in pictures recognize this mixture of tranquility and openness: a well-kept house, plenty of greenery, clear architecture, and an environment that resembles a developed spa and recreation area rather than a purely functional residential complex. This is also crucial for the perception of the residence, as the photos not only show rooms but also a quality of life that arises from light, views, and landscape embedding. According to the official description, the town center, lake, and dock are within walking distance, making the location practical for everyday life while also being special. Additionally, there is a bus stop right outside the door, so the residence is well connected despite its quiet location. The view of the lake, proximity to nature, and park-like surroundings create a framework that is formative for both residents and visitors. ([augustinum.de](https://augustinum.de/diessen-am-ammersee/))

The town of Dießen itself also contributes significantly to the impression. The website emphasizes that Dießen has retained the rural charm of a Bavarian small town while still offering everything a well-known recreation and spa town needs, from doctors to shopping opportunities. This is important for assessing the location: the residence is not isolated but situated in an environment that connects leisure, supply, and nature well. The nearby Lake Ammersee, the historic town center, and the surrounding paths make the location interesting not only for walks but also for excursions. Those interested in the search terms at Augustinerberg or Dießen am Ammersee are usually looking for exactly this combination of location description, visual impact, and practical orientation. The residence provides a clear answer: plenty of greenery, short paths, a quiet environment, and at the same time proximity to the lake, town center, and public transport. This interplay creates a location profile that is attractive for both people with an active lifestyle and those looking for safe, comfortable living. Apartments, Floor Plans, and Assisted Living Plus

The central theme when searching for the Augustinum Dießen am Ammersee is the apartments themselves. The official site lists 1- to 3-room apartments ranging from 26 to 90 m². This allows the house to cover a wide spectrum, from compact apartments to spacious units with significantly more space. The services and costs page shows specific examples: a 1-room apartment with 28 m², a 2-room apartment with 54 m², and a 3-room apartment with 83 m². The descriptions indicate that the apartments are each equipped with a bathroom, kitchenette or kitchen elements, balcony or loggia, and depending on the layout, storage room, shower room, or separate living and dining area. This is complemented by the general location and living area, which indicates that all apartments are equipped with emergency call buttons and that many variants can be individually furnished. This is typical of the Augustinum concept of Assisted Living Plus: the private apartment remains the center of daily life, while services, security, and care are added as needed. Therefore, those looking for apartments in the Augustinum Dießen am Ammersee are not only interested in square meters but also in the interplay of privacy, flexibility, and support. This is where the strength of the house lies, as the living form is designed to enable independent living in a well-organized environment. ([augustinum.de](https://augustinum.de/diessen-am-ammersee/lage-und-wohnen/))

The house also emphasizes that residents can furnish and decorate the apartments according to their own taste. High-quality flooring is standard, and an individual floor covering can be chosen upon request. Kitchenettes, bathrooms with showers, mirror cabinets, and towel radiators are part of the basic standard; additional installations and extras are possible. Particularly important for many interested parties is the fact that care in the Augustinum can take place in the privacy of one's own apartment, regardless of the level of care needed. Additionally, the reception is staffed 24 hours a day, and there is a wide range of services that facilitate daily life. This is also relevant for people who want to consciously downsize or reorganize in old age: the residence creates private retreats without sacrificing everyday assistance. Therefore, those looking for Assisted Living Plus receive not just a marketing term but a clearly described living concept with structure, security, and many choices. This also makes the residence interesting for relatives who value transparency, organization, and a reliable environment. Cultural Program, Theater Hall, and Public Events

Another reason why the Augustinum Dießen am Ammersee is so present in search results lies in the cultural program of the house. The official events page describes the senior residence as a cultural institution in the region and emphasizes that collaborations with external organizers enrich the program. The centerpiece of this offering is the in-house theater hall, where lectures, concerts, theater, and movie nights take place. This is remarkable for a senior residence because it opens the location far beyond classic living. Those living here have direct access to a vibrant program, and those coming from outside experience the residence as a cultural meeting point. The event calendar regularly shows public dates, including movie nights, lectures, and music events. This means the house is perceived not only as a place to live but also as an active event venue. Particularly for search queries related to programs, theater, or events, this is an important point because the Augustinum Dießen am Ammersee is not only organized in the background but is also publicly visible. This strengthens the regional connection and makes the residence interesting for people who appreciate cultural offerings nearby. ([augustinum.de](https://augustinum.de/diessen-am-ammersee/kultur-und-aktivitaeten/veranstaltungskalender/))

The cultural work fits well with the overall positioning of the house. In the overview on the homepage, the theater and cinema hall, lecture hall, library, club rooms, and chapel are mentioned together. This shows that culture is not understood as a single event here but as part of a larger social living space. Residents can attend lectures, experience concerts, watch films, or participate in group activities without leaving the house. At the same time, external visitors benefit from the fact that the residence is culturally visible in Dießen and opens up with its program to the region. The town itself offers a strong environment for culture and excursions with the Marienmünster, the Andechs Monastery, and the lake landscape; the Augustinum complements this environment with its own continuous offering. Those asking about the relationship between living and culture find a clear answer here: cultural life is not an addition but part of the identity. This is precisely how the special profile of the residence at Lake Ammersee is created. ([augustinum.de](https://augustinum.de/diessen-am-ammersee/))

Food, Café, and Services in the House

In daily life at the Augustinum Dießen am Ammersee, gastronomy plays a significant role. The house's website describes the food as meals like in a hotel restaurant and emphasizes healthy, balanced nutrition with selected ingredients. The kitchen prepares a varied menu daily, where regional Bavarian and Swabian cuisine has its place alongside international dishes. Particularly interesting is that residents choose their menus daily at the table from the menu. This is a detail that makes a big difference in everyday life, as it does not sound like rigid catering but rather like a genuine gastronomic offering with choices, service, and atmosphere. This is complemented by personal service, which, according to the house's website, knows the preferences of regular guests. In good weather, one can eat on the sun terrace, and for private celebrations, the house also provides advice, makes rooms available if possible, and organizes buffet or menu forms. This makes gastronomy a social focal point of the house, not just a supply facility. This is important for people who inquire about the residence while also looking for a restaurant, café, or food in the house. The Augustinum answers these questions with a clear hotel-like logic without losing the character of a living space. ([augustinum.de](https://augustinum.de/diessen-am-ammersee/essen-und-geniessen/))

The daily infrastructure also includes several service points that noticeably ease everyday life. The location overview mentions reception, café, foyer, theater, and physical therapy in the entrance area. On other levels, there are medical treatment rooms, resident services, a bank, a self-service shop, a hairdresser, a library, and a lounge. In the basement, there are a sauna, swimming pool, kitchen, music room, restaurant, and lecture hall. This means: the residence is organized like a small town within the town, where many everyday paths remain short. This is more than comfort for older people; it is a form of relief and independence. Those who no longer want to drive or walk constantly benefit from the fact that important services, meeting points, and leisure offerings are under one roof. The fact that there is also a car-sharing parking space directly at the house shows how modern and flexible the mobility concept is thought out. Thus, food and services become a comprehensive package that connects everyday life, enjoyment, and practical support. ([augustinum.de](https://augustinum.de/diessen-am-ammersee/))

Swimming Pool, Sauna, and Movement with a View of Nature

The swimming pool is one of the most distinctive features of the residence and is a real magnet for many search queries. The official site describes the swimming pool at the Augustinum Dießen am Ammersee with its 25-meter pool as the only public indoor pool on the western shore of Lake Ammersee. This wording makes the location special because the swimming pool is accessible not only to residents but also to the public, thus fulfilling a regional function. The homepage also lists the opening hours, indicating that the pool is actively used and has a fixed place in the daily life of the house. This is complemented by a sauna, gym, and physical therapy, creating an environment that connects movement, regeneration, and health orientation. The garden area also plays an important role here: the large in-house park offers opportunities for Nordic walking or yoga, thus providing activity in a quiet, nature-close environment. For many interested parties, this is a strong argument because leisure and movement do not have to be organized outside the premises. Instead, a combination of water, warmth, training, and green space is created, making everyday life varied. Therefore, those searching for a swimming pool or sauna at the Augustinum Dießen am Ammersee find not just a side note but an essential part of the location quality. ([augustinum.de](https://augustinum.de/diessen-am-ammersee/))

The swimming pool also reinforces the impression that the house is focused on quality of life in all situations. It is not just about living but also about movement, relaxation, and community. This is particularly important in a senior residence because physical activity and health offerings significantly contribute to keeping everyday life active and self-determined. The combination of swimming pool, sauna, gym, and therapy shows that the house can respond to different needs, from relaxed swimming laps to targeted movement. In combination with the park area and proximity to the lake, an environment is created that feels like a small health and life campus. It also fits that residents can take care of many errands right at their apartment door and that the reception is staffed around the clock. Therefore, the swimming pool is particularly important for perception in photos and reviews: it symbolically represents the mix of comfort, everyday practicality, and high-quality features that characterize the Augustinum Dießen am Ammersee. ([augustinum.de](https://augustinum.de/diessen-am-ammersee/))

Directions, Surroundings, and Reviews

Those wishing to visit or tour the Augustinum Dießen am Ammersee will find a clear set of directions. According to the PDF, one can drive from Munich towards Lindau via the A96/B12 and take the exit for Greifenberg, then continue through Utting to Dießen. Those coming from Munich towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen via the A95 use the exit for Starnberg and then come through Andechs and Fischen to Dießen. Additionally, the location page points out a bus stop right outside the door, which improves public accessibility. Car sharing is also available in the house, and there is a parking space for a local car-sharing association directly at the Augustinum. This is practical for residents, guests, and interested parties alike, as mobility does not have to be organized solely through one's own car. The surroundings are also attractive: the Marienmünster, the Andechs Monastery, the lake landscape of the pre-Alps, and the proximity to Lake Ammersee make the house a good starting point for excursions. This combination of a quiet location and good accessibility fits perfectly with the frequent search terms related to directions and Dießen am Ammersee. ([augustinum.de](https://augustinum.de/fileadmin/Standorte/Diessen_am_Ammersee/Standortstartseite/seniorenresidenz-augustinum-diessen-anfahrt.pdf))

This indicates an overall positive perception of the house, especially in the areas of location, gastronomy, culture, and care. In practice, such reviews often align with the visible strengths of the location: the well-kept park area, the special location above the lake, the good infrastructure in the house, and the diverse program. Those searching for reviews usually want to know if the residence confirms its impression in reality. The combination of public cultural work, everyday services, living quality, and nature-close location suggests that the house offers more than mere accommodation. It is a living space with its own character that aims to combine safety and independence. This is precisely why the Augustinum Dießen am Ammersee is not just an address for many people but a long-term life decision. ([augustinum.de](https://augustinum.de/diessen-am-ammersee/))

We had a guest appearance there as a band for the summer festival. A beautiful location, picturesquely set in the countryside, very well maintained, very friendly staff, and wonderful food.

Saturday is warm water day. It's great for families with children. It's inexpensive, so it's ideal for a quick swim or practicing with the kids. The heated loungers are comfortable for relaxing. However, it's a very basic swimming pool with no amenities. Pool noodles are available for children to play with.

Just a swimming pool. A 25-meter pool and nothing else. But: heated benches, quiet activity, very friendly lifeguards, and buoyancy aids for rent make it a good place to swim.

Nice, small swimming pool (25m lane). Entrance fee is paid at the ticket machine (currently €3). Don't forget the parking meter when parking!
