Marksmanship and excitement at the 37th Citizens' Shooting in Herrsching
From November 19 to 21, 2026, the shooting range at the Catholic parish center St. Nikolaus on Mitterweg 22 will be the meeting point for citizens of Herrsching, members of local associations, and guests. In the traditional citizens' shooting of the D'Herrschinger Wildschütz'n, a steady hand, a good eye, and sporting ambition count.
Three days full of concentration and competition atmosphere
At the shooting range, each precise moment makes a difference. Before the shot is fired, there is tense silence; afterwards, there is tension, relief, and shared exchange. The unique stadium atmosphere of shooting sports emerges from focused gazes, cheering from the club environment, and the social community around the competition.
Shooting times at a glance
The opening will be on Thursday, November 19, from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM. On Friday, November 20, the stands will be open from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The final shooting day on Saturday, November 21, will run from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Additional purchases end 30 minutes before the regular shooting concludes.
Competition for citizens and guests
Eligible to participate are shooters aged 12 and older who do not belong to any shooting club. Young people between 12 and 14 years require a written consent from their parents. Adults pay an entry fee of 15 euros, while youth born between 2008 and 2014 pay 8 euros. This includes five practice shots, two ten-shot series, and a king shot. Additional ten-shot series can be purchased for 3 euros each.
Tradition, precision, and community
The citizens' shooting connects sporting challenge with active club life. Tactics and formations do not play a role here as on the football field; instead, posture, breath control, and the even release of the shot determine the result. The patron is Herrsching's First Mayor Christian Schiller.
Award ceremony on November 28
The most successful participants will be honored on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the shooting club's home. Then it will be revealed who has shown the greatest marksmanship over the three days of competition.
Conclusion: Experience shooting sports live
The 37th citizens' shooting promises field tension, sporting ambition, and a warm atmosphere right in the heart of Herrsching. Those who want to step up to the shooting range or experience the competition as a guest will find excellent opportunities for precise moments and shared club life over three days.
