Pastoral Care and Psychotherapy in the Monastery: An Evening Between Faith, Healing, and Humanity
When people seek stability, inner peace, and new paths, spiritual guidance and modern psychotherapy meet in the monastery. The Dießen Health Talk invites you to consider this connection from a theological, pastoral, and psychotherapeutic perspective.
Origins of Two Paths
Sister Veronika and the diploma psychologist Timo Schiele explore together the question of what connects pastoral care and psychotherapy and what their decisive differences are. The focus is on the origins of both approaches, their respective language, and their contribution to a holistic view of humanity.
Spiritual Community and Therapeutic Expertise
Sister Veronika works in care and co-therapy and as a Christian pastoral caregiver at the psychosomatic clinic Kloster Dießen. Timo Schiele serves as the chief psychologist there. Together, they provide insights into the current collaboration of pastoral care and psychotherapy and show what both fields can learn from each other.
Discussion on Faith, Mind, and Life Questions
The health talk connects religious experience with psychological expertise. Topics such as prayer, spirituality, personal crises, mental health, and the search for meaning are given space. The discussion is aimed at those interested in pastoral care, psychotherapy, and the human dimension of psychosomatic treatment.
A Special Evening in the Anniversary Year
The event takes place as part of the 700th anniversary celebration of the market community of Dießen. In the Traidtcasten of the monastery courtyard, a protected space is created for reflection, professional exchange, and shared contemplation. Admission begins at 7 PM, and the lecture starts at 7:30 PM.
Experience an evening that connects faith experience, psychotherapeutic expertise, and human closeness. The Dießen Health Talk opens new perspectives on pastoral care and psychotherapy and invites you to experience the event live in the spiritual atmosphere of the monastery courtyard.
