Quiet Hour at REWE Höcker in Herrsching
On Thursday, November 26, 2026, REWE Höcker in Herrsching will create a particularly stimulus-reduced environment for people with sensitive needs. During the Quiet Hour, shopping will be possible in a calmer and more pleasant atmosphere.
Shopping in peace with fewer stimuli
From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, a relaxed shopping experience will be the focus at REWE Höcker located at Gewerbestraße 5. The initiative is particularly aimed at people with ADHD, autism, or high sensitivity who benefit from a reduced noise and stimulus backdrop.
An inclusive offer in the Starnberg district
The Quiet Hour was initiated in the Starnberg district by the ARGE and the Inclusion Advisory Board. REWE Höcker in Herrsching is participating along with other stores in Starnberg and Pöcking in this initiative. This creates a new, regularly available offer for greater participation in everyday shopping.
Stimulus-poor market atmosphere in the supermarket
During the Quiet Hour, the usual noise level will be reduced. Planned adjustments include dimmed lights, no music, and no announcements over the loudspeaker. Scanner sounds will also be quieter or turned off; restocking of goods as well as advertising screens and monitors will pause during this time.
Open to all customers
The REWE market will of course remain open for all customers during the Quiet Hour. The inclusive offer thus integrates into the regular shopping operation while creating a protected time for people who rely on a less stimulating environment while shopping.
The Quiet Hour is intended to take place weekly in the future. Visitors can expect a calmer shopping experience with more consideration, clear processes, and a more conscious market atmosphere.
Conclusion
The Quiet Hour at REWE Höcker sends an important signal for inclusion and participation in Herrsching. Those who wish to shop in a quieter environment or need such an atmosphere will find a suitable time on November 26, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Experience the inclusive offer on-site and find out directly in the store about the regular continuation.
