Pre-Christmas Book and Media Market at Augustinum Dießen
From November 13 to 16, 2026, the reception hall of Augustinum Dießen on Lake Ammersee will transform into a meeting place for book lovers, avid readers, music enthusiasts, and anyone searching for special gift ideas for the Advent season. The focus of the pre-Christmas Book and Media Market is on browsing, discovering, and bidding at favorable prices. Admission is free.
Literary Treasures and Musical Memories
The carefully curated selection from the resident book market team invites visitors on a relaxed discovery trip. Among novels, non-fiction books, and other reading materials, literature enthusiasts will find numerous opportunities to discover new favorite books or nostalgic Christmas gifts. The market is complemented by a particularly rich assortment of media, including records, DVDs, audiobooks, and other formats.
Market Atmosphere with a Good Purpose
The pleasant atmosphere in the residence makes the visit a special shopping experience. The market combines regional ties, sustainable sharing, and the joy of used cultural goods. By selecting used books and media, visitors not only discover unique pieces but also support a social cause: the proceeds are donated equally to the Tafel Dießen and the association Zukunft für Kinder der Welt e. V.
Four Days to Browse
The opening will take place on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in the reception hall of Augustinum. On the opening day, the market is open until 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, there will be opportunities in the morning and afternoon to browse the offerings at leisure. The varying opening hours provide market visitors with flexible visiting times to search for books, records, DVDs, and audiobooks.
