With Curious Eyes Through the Forest: Animal and Nature Researchers on the Move
On Sunday, October 18, 2026, families and children will discover the forest around the experience tree school at Steinberg in Gilching as an exciting habitat. Together, they will go on a search for traces: Which animals live here, what signs reveal their presence, and who has worked on which branch or cone?
Exploration with All Senses
Equipped like real nature researchers, participants will explore the forest. They will observe, search, feel, and gather impressions from nature. The hands-on experience makes the forest tangible and offers children a child-friendly access to animals, plants, and natural structures.
Playful Learning and Wondering Together
The guided tour combines family experiences and fun learning. Children develop their observation skills, ask their own questions, and discover connections in the forest habitat. Such immediate experiences foster curiosity, independence, and mindful behavior towards nature.
Expert Guidance in the Forest
The event is led by Sabine Müller, a forest and nature educator as well as a florist. Her nature educational guidance supports an age-appropriate learning experience and conveys knowledge directly where it comes to life: between trees, forest floor, and natural finds.
Well Prepared for the Family Adventure
Since the event takes place in the forest, weatherproof clothing, a packed meal, and a seat cushion are recommended equipment. Participation lasts from 10:00 to 12:00. Registration can be done via email at info@erlebnis-baumschule.de.
Conclusion: A Morning Full of Children's Laughter and Natural Wonders
During the family outing in Gilching, children can expect a diverse exploration trip filled with movement, observation, and shared moments of discovery. Those who wish to experience the forest through the eyes of a researcher will find valuable time together and sustainable nature experiences.
