Quadro Nuevo brings Happy Deluxe to the Ammersee
On December 21, 2026, Quadro Nuevo will perform with the program Happy Deluxe at the Ammersee. The concert combines the cosmopolitan sound language of the German acoustic quartet with tango, Valse Musette, flamenco, film music, and jazzy improvisation.
Between Tango, World Music, and Jazz
Since 1996, Quadro Nuevo has stood for a distinctive acoustic sound. Saxophone, clarinet, mandolin, double bass, accordion, bandoneon, and vibraphone merge into a colorful orchestration that brings together Mediterranean lightness, Latin American rhythms, and European melodies.
The program Happy Deluxe captures the cheerful atmosphere of the eponymous album. The production, released in 2024, combines new original compositions with reinterpretations of well-known pieces and bears the musical signature of a band that transforms concert stages worldwide into moving sound landscapes.
A Concert Experience with Travel Character
The live atmosphere of Quadro Nuevo thrives on direct interplay. The ensemble works with precise synchronization, spontaneous turns, and an expressive conducting through glances, breath, and movement. Every note remains audibly close: warm woodwind tones, bouncy bass lines, dance-like accordion figures, and vibrating percussion create a sound that bridges jazz club, dance hall, and Mediterranean piazza.
With more than 3,000 concerts worldwide, Quadro Nuevo has developed an extraordinary stage expertise. The band has performed in Montreal, New York, Istanbul, Seoul, Tel Aviv, and at renowned jazz and world music festivals. Their albums have achieved top placements in jazz and world music charts and have been awarded German Jazz Awards, ECHO Jazz Awards, and European Phono Awards.
Happy Deluxe: Sound Colors for the Winter Season
The date at Ammersee sets a colorful counterpoint to the dark season. Instead of musical heaviness, a warm, lively audience atmosphere arises: rhythmic grooves invite inner swaying, while lyrical melodies open up space for calm and wanderlust. The stage performance of Quadro Nuevo thrives on virtuosity, joy in playing, and the feeling that every piece begins a new story.
