Hammond groove meets jazz, blues, and funk in Wörthsee
The KiWi Jazz Lounge invites you on Friday, October 30, 2026, to an intense concert evening with Matthias Bublath and his Hammond B3 Band. Starting at 7:30 PM, the Kirchenwirt Wörthsee transforms into an intimate jazz lounge where warm organ sounds, distinctive saxophone lines, and driving rhythms collide directly.
The unmistakable sound of the Hammond B3
At the center is the legendary Hammond B3 organ – an instrument that has shaped jazz, blues, funk, and gospel history. Matthias Bublath combines its powerful, rich sound with virtuosic piano playing and a modern musical language. His compositions thrive on precise orchestration, rhythmic tension, and plenty of room for improvisation.
Four strong voices from the Munich jazz scene
For this evening, Bublath brings together three prominent musicians: Florian Trübsbach on saxophone, Philipp Schiepeck on guitar, and Christian Lettner on drums. In this lineup, four distinctive styles meet. The saxophone and Hammond provide expressive melodic arcs, the guitar adds funky accents, while the drums drive the groove with precise synchronization and spontaneous impulses.
International experience, Munich energy
Matthias Bublath studied at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz as well as at the Berklee College of Music and the Manhattan School of Music. He lived and worked as a freelance musician in New York for nearly a decade. Performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Kennedy Center in Washington, and at international festivals shaped his career. Bublath has released 13 albums as a bandleader and moves confidently between jazz, blues, funk, gospel, and Latin American rhythms.
Live atmosphere with close proximity to the stage
The KiWi Jazz Lounge emphasizes small tables, a bar, and immediate proximity to the musicians. This creates a concert experience in which every nuance of the Hammond organ, every breath of the saxophone, and every dynamic hit of the drum set remains palpable. The audience's mood develops closely, focused, and full of musical movement.
Conclusion: An evening for groove and open ears
Visitors can expect an energetic jazz evening between soul, blues, and funk – driven by an extraordinary ensemble and the unmistakable sound of the Hammond B3. Those wishing to experience improvised music in a concentrated live atmosphere will find a particularly appealing concert date on October 30, 2026, in Wörthsee.
