Vivaldi Meets Tiepolo: Baroque Sound Splendor in the Dießen Marienmünster
On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the Dießen Marienmünster will transform into an impressive concert hall for Antonio Vivaldi's colorful music. The Great Autumn Concert brings together virtuosic instrumental sounds, festive choral singing, and Italian Baroque aesthetics with the special acoustics of the historic church space.
A Musical Autumn Evening Full of Contrasts
The program features key works of the Venetian composer with the Violin Concerto in D major, the Magnificat, the Gloria, and the movement Autumn from Vivaldi's famous cycle The Four Seasons. Between rhythmic pulse, radiant string colors, and sacred sonic expansiveness, a concert experience emerges that combines energy and devotion.
Choir, Soloists, and Ensemble in Dialogue
The Münster Project Choir collaborates with the Ensemble Lodron to present the larger choral and orchestral works. Teresa Boning and Franziska Lichtenstern take the soprano parts, Theresa Holzhauser sings alto, and Manuel Ried plays tenor. Ulrich König is featured on violin. The musical direction is by Agata Lichtscheidel.
Vivaldi's Sound World in the Marienmünster
In the sacred atmosphere of the Marienmünster, the Magnificat and Gloria unfold their festive impact. The precise synchronization of choir and instrumental ensemble, the dynamic arcs of orchestration, and the solo presence of the violin make the evening a special highlight for lovers of classical music and historical Baroque sounds.
A Concert with Venetian Color
Antonio Vivaldi's music combines melodic elegance with distinctive rhythms and an immediately understandable imagery. Particularly, Autumn from The Four Seasons thrives on clear musical scenes, virtuosic runs, and changing moods. In conjunction with the spiritual choral works, a program emerges that impressively showcases the composer's versatility.
