Choral Sounds in the Green: Nature and Music in Schacky Park
A summer evening, birds singing in the treetops, footsteps on gravel – and then harmony begins. On Sunday, June 14, 2026, the Friends of Schacky Park will lead a guided walk through Diessen's historic landscape park. The Diessen choirs accompany this multi-day experience of the region as a unique open-air matinee in the evening: musical stations, park history to touch, communal singing, and a concluding snack at the Monopteros.
Festival Atmosphere between Monopteros and Ancient Trees
Walking along the wide carriageway, you immediately sense the special festival atmosphere of this place: open-air acoustics carry voices over meadows and sculptures, the Monopteros becomes the main stage, side paths lead to a side stage. The park architecture in the style of the English landscape garden creates natural resonance spaces – ideal for choral music and singing along.
Guided Walk: Nature Meets Sound
The tour combines sensory impressions with well-founded knowledge of the park's history, restoration, and monument conservation. Stations at the tea house, along the fountains and sight axes open ears and eyes: Here, the line-up of the choirs, landscape, and community feeling merge into a cohesive sound image.
Pure Community: Snack and Communal Singing
After the tour, a relaxed snack awaits. Then the choir becomes the community: Everyone is invited to sing together – a low-threshold, inclusive experience for families, circles of friends, and the local festival family.
Organization & Service
Free entry, meeting point at the Monopteros. Schacky Park is easily reachable on foot from the train station and the ferry landing; the address for the GPS is Vogelherdstraße, 86911 Dießen am Ammersee. In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to Sunday, June 21, 2026. Parking is limited – please use official parking spaces and public transport.
Conclusion
A relaxed open-air event with local appeal: Nature, monument backdrop, and choral sounds create an intense yet tranquil multi-day feeling of the region. Anyone who wants to encapsulate voices, history, and landscape in one evening should not miss this live experience.
