Daydream in Tutzing: Romance for Ear, Heart, and a Good Cause

On Sunday, November 8, 2026, the Rotary Club Tutzing invites you to a special benefit concert in the music hall of the Evangelical Academy Tutzing. Under the title Daydream – Romanticism in Word and Sound, pianist Gitti Pirner and cellist and reciter Reiner Ginzel combine music and literature for an atmospheric evening in support of the Ambulant Nursing Care Tutzing e.V.

When Music and Language Come into Dialogue

The program focuses on the intense connection between spoken word and chamber music sound. Poetic, contemplative, and humorously quirky texts meet works of Romanticism, creating a concert evening where language opens musical images and music adds depth to the texts.

Romantic Sonorities Between Piano and Cello

Gitti Pirner shapes the evening at the piano, while Reiner Ginzel brings his cello and recitation skills. The program includes composers such as Frédéric Chopin, Robert Schumann, Camille Saint-Saëns, Gabriel Fauré, and Sergei Rachmaninoff. The duo program is complemented by solo performances at the piano featuring works by Franz Schubert, Chopin, Schumann, and Johannes Brahms.

Literature features texts by Johann Gottfried Herder, Joseph von Eichendorff, Clemens Brentano, Mascha Kaléko, and Gottfried Benn alongside the compositions. The careful dramaturgy allows recitation, orchestration in a chamber music sense, and finely tuned sound colors to merge into a cohesive stage performance.

A Benefit Concert with Local Connection

The proceeds from the evening support the Ambulant Nursing Care Tutzing e.V. In this way, the Rotary Club Tutzing honors the important work of a social institution that accompanies people in need of help in the community. The concert connects cultural aspirations with concrete support on site.

Experience and Musical Intimacy

Gitti Pirner and Reiner Ginzel have been present together in chamber music projects for many years. A joint recording featuring works by Paul Juon, Léon Boëllmann, Camille Saint-Saëns, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Reinhold Glière, and Joseph Wölfl was released by the label Hänssler Classic. Critical appreciations emphasize the cohesive sound and narrative character of their collaboration.

Conclusion: An Evening for Romance and Humanity

Visitors can expect a concentrated concert experience with warm cello sound, nuanced piano playing, and literary moments ranging from contemplation to fine humor. Those wishing to experience romantic music in an immediate live atmosphere while supporting the Ambulant Nursing Care Tutzing will find this benefit concert to be a particularly harmonious evening.
