Advent Concert „In terra pax“: Festive Choral Music in Herrsching
On Saturday, November 28, 2026, the Evangelical Three Lakes Community invites you to a delightful Advent concert at the Evangelical Erlöserkirche Herrsching. The evangelical choir will perform together with an instrumental ensemble, opening the Advent season with festive Gloria settings from different eras.
Between Vivaldi, Puccini, and Gjeilo
The program connects different sound languages to create a musical arc: The selection of Gloria settings ranges from the baroque agility of Antonio Vivaldi to the expressive drama of Giacomo Puccini and to the modern, atmospheric melody of Ola Gjeilo. In the church acoustics, the choral arrangement, instrumental ensemble, and the careful synchronization of the voices create a special spatial effect.
Advent Live Atmosphere
The audience's mood thrives on radiant sound colors, sustained passages, and powerful communal peaks. The concert combines sacred music with an immediate stage performance: voices and instruments enter into a dialogue, while the conducting of Birgit Henke ensures clear musical lines and precise orchestration.
An Evening for Music Lovers and Families
“In terra pax” meaningfully stands for the wish for peace on earth, fitting beautifully into the reflective time before Christmas. The mix of familiar sacred concert tradition and works by various composers makes the evening an accessible concert experience for lovers of classical choral music and everyone who wants to start Advent with special sounds.
Conclusion
Visitors can expect a festive Advent concert featuring the evangelical choir, an instrumental ensemble, and Gloria settings from Vivaldi to Gjeilo. Admission is free; donations are appreciated. Anyone wishing to experience the special atmosphere of sacred choral music live should mark the concert evening at the Erlöserkirche Herrsching on their calendar.
